Notice is hereby given to any person, firm or corporation wishing to submit a bid for the Project (“Bidder”) that
the Board of Aldermen of the City of Oak Grove, Jackson County, Missouri (“City” or “Owner”) will receive
sealed proposals, at the office of the City Clerk, Oak Grove City Hall, until 10:00 a.m. on the 2nd day of
August, 2010 and will be publicly opened at the Oak Grove Civic Center at 10:30 a.m. that same day by two or
more designated officers or agents of the City, said proposals to be for the furnishing of all labor and materials for the construction, complete in place, in accordance with plans and specifications for the following work:
Advertisement for Bid Project Description
Repavement of approximately 2570 square yards of 9.5” concrete pavement at SE 4th Street, beginning at Broadway and continuing east approximately 645 linear feet. The project will include a detailed phasing plan that ensures two way traffic and public access to businesses is maintained at all times and will require
coordination with property owners, temporary traffic control and pavement marking.
Plans, specifications, proposal forms, and contract documents may be seen at the office of the City Clerk, Oak
Grove, Missouri and at the office of Public Works, 1300 S. Broadway, Oak Grove Missouri 64075. A pre-bid
conference will be held at the City of Oak Grove Civic Center on July 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
No bids will be considered unless sealed and accompanied by a bidder's bond naming the City of Oak Grove as
obligee, certified check payable to the City Clerk of the City of Oak Grove or a cash deposit equal to at least
five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, which shall be returned or forfeited as set forth in the Information
for Bidders.
The Board of Aldermen reserves the right to retain the deposits of the three lowest bidders for a period not to exceed sixty
(60) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of sixty
(60) days after the date and time set for the opening of bids.
Payment for the work will be by cash or check.
The Board of Aldermen reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive irregularities and informalities
therein and further reserves the right to award the contract to that bidder determined to be in the best interests of the City.
